Wei-Lin Chen is a specialist in cross-strait relations and Chinese military modernisation. Born in Taipei, she has tracked the People's Liberation Army's force restructuring, Taiwan's defence posture, and US arms sales to the island for over a decade. Her analysis of Chinese grey-zone operations in the Taiwan Strait has been cited by the US Congressional Research Service and the Australian Strategic Policy Institute. She previously served as a research analyst at the RAND Corporation.
